CCAC Spam Filtering: Spam filters are used to detect unsolicited and unwanted email and prevent those messages from getting to your inbox. CCAC uses the IronPort Spam Filter application for its email servers. You will receive an email from CCAC Spam Filter if you have email(s) in your spam folder.
How do I access the Spam filter?
From the URL
- From a web browser, go to https://spam-filter-v.ccac.edu/Search
- Log in using your CCAC username and Password
- Click the Login button
From the Email Notification
- Locate the email with the subject "Spam Quarantine Notification"
- Click the link to the email you want in the subject section
- Log in using your CCAC username and Password
- Click the Login button
How do I release an email from the Spam filter?
- After logging in you will see a list of emails in the Spam filter
- Click the box(s) beside the email you wish to release
- From the Select Action... drop-down menu
- Choose Release
- Click the Submit button
- A window will appear, click the Release button
You can also choose Release and Add to Safelist - which will add the email to the safe list for you
You can also choose Delete - which will permanently delete the email - Within a minute, you will see the released email in your inbox
How long will emails last in the Spam filter?
Messages will be automatically removed from the quarantine after 31 days; or sooner if manually deleted from the spam filter.
