What Is the Loaner Laptop Program?
CCAC is offering a Student Loaner Laptop Program, which gives students the opportunity to borrow a laptop. The device may be borrowed on a semester basis and students can keep their device(s) as long as they are enrolled at CCAC.
Who is Eligible?
- Currently enrolled student, taking one or more classes
What Is the Process for Getting a Loaner Laptop?
A current student will need to submit an application. Applications are submitted through the Loaner Laptop Request Form and approved on a first come, first serve basis, as long as devices are available.
If approved, students will be emailed a link to schedule their pickup. They must pickup the laptop at Allegheny Campus, Library Building, Room L104. At the time of the pickup, they will sign the agreement and then check out their laptop.
What if the Loaner Laptop Breaks or Has a Problem?
If the laptop has a problem, the student will need to contact the ITS ServiceDesk. The ServiceDesk will work with them to troubleshoot or schedule a time and place to return the laptop.
Renewing the Loaner Laptop Agreement
Students must renew the laptop agreement at the end of the semester to ensure they can have a laptop for the following semester. If students do not renew or return their laptop, they will be charged for the laptop.
Returning the Loaner Laptop
Laptops must be returned once the current student is no longer taking classes. For example: if the student is only taking one semester, they must return it after the end of that semester. If the student is taking a Fall, Spring and following Fall semester course, they will return the laptop after the second fall semester.
The laptop can be returned to Allegheny Campus.
