Outdoor signage is a great way to promote or make anyone aware of an event that the public can attend or something taking place at the campus that the public may want to come to.


Content Details

  • File Type: PNG, JPEG,
  • Ratio: 1.77:1 (Horizontal) - NOT Square or Vertical
  • Dimension: 255x144
  • Content should take up most of the screen space
  • Leave space "padding" on the outer border

Standards & ADA Compliance

  • College appropriate - Public Focused
  • CCAC guidelines and image/branding standard
  • Include Contact information, link to webpage for more information, date and time of event

Font(s)

  • Size and Visibility: 24px or higher
    • 1” of character height is good for 35’ of viewing distance 
      EXAMPLE: 6” high letter should be able to be seen 200’ away
  • Font Size to Inches
    • 14 = 4"
    • 24 = 7"
    • 30 = 9"
  • Types: Sans-serif (Arial) fonts are the easiest to read
  • Legibility and Easily Understood - Cursive/Handwritten fonts are hard to read
 

Color Contrast

 
  • Short Link should be included if going to a website or event
